Soroptimist membership celebrates the unique power of women. It's a gift that women give to
themselves: the chance to friendship and fun.
We hope you have fun exploring our website, learning more about the Soroptimist outlook, how
we choose our programs of service and what successes we enjoy.
We empower the Soroptimist dream by fundraising to further our mission of improving the lives of
women and girls through programs leading to economic and social empowerment!
Locally in our home town we are supporting the young women at Juvenile Hall; giving awards and
scholarships to young women and students; sewing blankets for Children's Family Services;
sponsoring the Martinez Chamber's Woman of the Year award; planning and assisting Dream It
Be It's Get Real Academy; and, participating with Kiwanis serving breakfast for Relay for Life.
We're looking forward to a busy and productive year! We hope you can join us at one of our
meetings and decide if Soroptimist membership is the right choice for you!
No matter where you are located, there is probably a Soroptimist club nearby. We are an
international group and carry NGO status at the United Nations. We hope to see you soon!
If you are head of household and meet the financial needs qualifications then don't miss this
opportunity to participate in Live Your Dream. This award is for career support and training. It is
awarded at the local club level and submitted for higher level competition. All of us in Soroptimist
want to help you to live your dream!
